Call for Interest: SPRINT Robotics Body of Knowledge Steering Committee

Wed, August 26, 2026

As industrial robotics moves from individual trials toward broader adoption, the industry needs more than technology. It needs shared knowledge, trusted guidance, common practices and credible frameworks that can help organizations deploy robotics safely, effectively and at scale.

SPRINT Robotics is inviting experienced professionals from across the industrial robotics value chain to express interest in joining the Body of Knowledge Steering Committee.

The Steering Committee will help shape and oversee the development of the SPRINT Robotics Body of Knowledge, including:

🔹 Defining the structure and priority knowledge areas of the Body of Knowledge

🔹 Identifying high-value topics for guidelines, recommended practices, test methods and potential standards

🔹 Establishing priorities for new technical Committees and Working Groups

🔹 Providing oversight and consistency across Body of Knowledge deliverables

🔹 Helping define pathways for industry review, approval and future formalization of SPRINT publications

🔹 Ensuring the Body of Knowledge reflects the needs and expertise of the wider inspection and maintenance robotics community

The SPRINT Robotics Body of Knowledge will organize industry guidance across five key areas: Strategy, Adoption & Scaling; Human Factors, Workforce & Change; Technical Integration & Infrastructure; Operations, Reliability & Lifecycle Management; and Safety, Risk & Assurance.

This Steering Committee will play an important role in ensuring that this knowledge is credible, relevant, coordinated and developed through broad industry participation. We are particularly interested in individuals with practical experience and deep knowledge of industrial robotics applications, the operational requirements of inspection and maintenance environments, and the technology and implementation gaps that must be addressed to enable safe, reliable and scalable deployment.

Committee participation will require active engagement and a commitment to helping shape the future SPRINT Robotics Body of Knowledge.

Interested in contributing your experience and helping define the knowledge, practices and guidance needed for the next generation of industrial robotics?

The Call for Interest will remain open through September 18, 2026.
