The future of industrial robotics is built on proven performance in real operational environments. As asset owners continue to seek innovative solutions that improve safety, efficiency, and asset integrity, technology providers have a unique opportunity to demonstrate how their solutions address real industry needs.
On September 8–10, 2026, the European Robotic Fitness Challenge will be hosted at the Equinor K-Lab Test Center in Kårstø, Norway, bringing together robotics developers, asset owners, operators, and industry experts for one of SPRINT Robotics' premier collaborative events.
More than a showcase, the Fitness Challenge provides a unique opportunity for technology providers to demonstrate their capabilities in realistic industrial scenarios while engaging directly with the organizations that deploy these solutions. It is where innovation meets application, creating meaningful conversations, valuable industry feedback, and opportunities for future collaboration.
Real-World Challenges. Real Industry Opportunities.
Challengers will demonstrate their technologies across three industry-focused challenges designed to reflect common operational needs within industrial facilities.
Operator Rounds Challenge
Showcase autonomous and semi-autonomous robots capable of performing routine inspection rounds. Technologies will demonstrate navigation, autonomous data collection, corrosion monitoring, leak detection, anomaly identification, and digital reporting while supporting safer, more efficient, and more reliable facility operations.
Fleet Management Challenge
Demonstrate an autonomous Operator Round by deploying at least two robotic platforms simultaneously under a centralized fleet management system. Participants can earn additional credits by integrating different types of robots, such as crawlers, quadrupeds, and drones, to showcase coordinated, multi-robot operations.
Robotic Welding Challenge
Advanced robotic welding technologies will demonstrate their ability to perform high-quality welding applications with precision, consistency, and repeatability. The challenge highlights how robotics can improve productivity while addressing workforce shortages and enhancing operational safety.
Connect with the People Driving Industrial Robotics
Throughout the event, participants will engage directly with asset owners, operators, and fellow technology innovators. These conversations provide valuable opportunities to better understand operational priorities, exchange ideas, build partnerships, and explore future deployment opportunities.
Whether you're developing autonomous robotics, AI-powered software, advanced sensors, inspection technologies, or integrated robotic solutions, the European Robotic Fitness Challenge provides a platform to demonstrate your innovation to an audience actively seeking proven technologies.
For asset owners and end users, the event offers a unique opportunity to discover emerging solutions, interact directly with technology developers, and help shape the future direction of industrial robotics.
