SREU Webinar Series: KAEFER blu, DEKRA, and Skeye

Wed, April 01, 2026

The SREU webinar series brought together presentations from KAEFER blu, DEKRA, and Skeye, showcasing how robotics is making industrial inspections safer, faster, and more efficient.

Kaefer blu presented its new Monkey Bot 2.0, a pipe-climbing robot designed to carry non-destructive testing tools and IoT sensors on insulated pipelines. Developed with support from operators including Equinor and Saudi Aramco, the robot aims to reduce the need for scaffolding, rope access, and personnel exposure during inspections.

DEKRA highlighted its robotic systems for generator inspections, which can inspect stators, rotors, and retain rings without removing the rotor body. By avoiding lengthy shutdowns and confined-space entry, the technology helps reduce outage times, improve safety, and lower maintenance costs.

Skeye shared the future of autonomous drone inspections in industrial facilities. The company shared how it has evolved from a drone services provider into a specialist in large-scale remote inspection operations across refineries, offshore assets, and energy infrastructure.
