SPRINT Robotics Hosts Rio Seminar on Corrosion Monitoring, Leak Detection, and AI Reporting

Tue, March 24, 2026

SPRINT Robotics will bring together leading asset owners, technology innovators, and industry experts for the SPRINT Robotics Rio Seminar: Corrosion Monitoring, Leak Detection, and (AI) Reporting, taking place April 15–16, 2026, at the Petrobras Cenpes Convention Center in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

The two-day seminar is designed to foster deeper industry dialogue and showcase how robotics, artificial intelligence, and advanced sensing technologies are transforming inspection and maintenance practices across capital-intensive infrastructure.

As industries face increasing pressure to maintain aging assets while improving safety, sustainability, and operational efficiency, innovative inspection solutions are becoming essential. The Rio Seminar will explore how robotic technologies and AI-driven analytics are enabling organizations to detect corrosion earlier, identify leaks more accurately, and deliver more intelligent inspection reporting.

A PLATFORM FOR INDUSTRY COLLABORATION

The seminar will provide a collaborative platform where participants can learn from real-world deployment experiences and discuss the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of inspection and maintenance.

Through expert presentations, case studies, and panel discussions, attendees will gain valuable insights into how emerging technologies are being implemented in live industrial environments.

The program will feature contributions from industry leaders representing organizations such as Petrobras, Shell, Equinor, and SBM Offshore, alongside technology providers and robotics innovators. Key speakers scheduled to contribute to the discussions include Carlos Pereira (SPRINT Robotics Latin America), Mauricio Galassi (Petrobras), Diego Juliano (Shell), Marco Fernandez Xaud (Equinor), and Felipe Scofano (SBM Offshore), who will share insights on robotics adoption, inspection challenges, and operational deployment strategies.

WHAT PARTICIPANTS CAN EXPECT

Over the course of two days, the seminar will feature:

  • Expert presentations on robotic inspection technologies

  • Case studies highlighting real-world industry applications

  • Technical sessions exploring AI-enabled corrosion monitoring and advanced leak detection

  • Panel discussions addressing key challenges in asset integrity management

  • Networking opportunities with industry leaders and innovators

In addition to the technical program, attendees will have the opportunity to connect with peers and industry experts during scheduled networking moments, including a dedicated networking dinner on the first evening of the event.

ADVANCING ROBOTICS ADOPTION IN INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE

SPRINT Robotics continues to play a central role in advancing the development, adoption, and practical application of robotics in industrial inspection, maintenance, and operations. Founded in 2015 by major energy asset owners, the organization has grown into a global platform connecting more than 130 organizations worldwide to accelerate the deployment of robotics in real industrial environments.

Events such as the Rio Seminar serve as important milestones in bringing together stakeholders from across the robotics ecosystem to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and drive industry progress.
