SPRINT Robotics has officially launched a new collaboration with Adra (AI, Data and Robotics Association), the association commissioned by the European Union to accelerate the development and adoption of AI, data and robotics across Europe.
The collaboration was announced in a surprise signing ceremony at the World Conference for Inspection & Maintenance Robotics 2025 in Amsterdam, where Emanuela Girardi, President of Adra, and Mauricio Calva, Chairman of SPRINT Robotics, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to initiate a strategic partnership.
At the core of the partnership is a shared belief that end-user driven innovation is critical to achieving meaningful economic and societal impact. By aligning Adra’s European policy and innovation mandate with SPRINT Robotics’ strong end-user and asset-owner network, the collaboration aims to bridge the gap between technology development and real-world industrial needs.
Under the MoU, SPRINT Robotics and Adra will work together to:
In addition, the collaboration will focus on bringing resources, coordination and strategic direction to the European community of robotic end-users, aligned with the European Commission’s framework for AI, Data and Robotics. This effort is expected to strengthen collaboration between solution providers, asset owners and policymakers, accelerating the adoption of robotics in inspection and maintenance applications.
Both organizations acknowledge that further work is required to fully understand the challenges, refine strategies and establish effective work plans. However, the partnership reinforces a shared conviction that SPRINT Robotics provides a unique platform for collaboration and exchange, bringing technology providers and end-users closer together to co-create impactful solutions.
The MoU represents an important step toward strengthening Europe’s robotics ecosystem and ensuring that innovation is guided by real operational needs, market readiness and long-term value creation.
