As part of an ongoing series, we are featuring SPRINT Robotics member companies on SR Community. This month: Valkim Technologies, a global business based in Houston, offers consulting services that can help with macro and micro expansion and engagement and tailored product development by providing customer efforts, performance demonstrations and innovative solutions for the oil, gas and petrochemical industries.

Valkim Technologies was created to support technology adoption in a safe, reliable manner with an emphasis on the inspection industry. With more than 25 years of leadership in business development for Fortune 500 companies, Valkim has a proven history of successfully discovering and cultivating new market opportunities, launching emergent product lines, and developing client partnerships to elevate corporate and brand identities.

Where is your company based and how many employees does your company have?

San Antonio, Texas USA with 2 employees.

What have you appreciated most about being a member of the SPRINT Robotics Collaborative?

The ability to hear directly from the asset owners their unmet needs and the opportunity to collaborate with other solution providers.

How would you describe your company culture in just 3 words?

Expeditious, Agile, Engaged

What makes your company stand out?

Valkim focuses on the need and not the product. Valkim also focuses on future trends and tries to make them happen.

Which developments in I&M robotics are you most excited about?

Digital transformation

What is the greatest challenge that your company has faced in I&M robotics?

One of the greatest challenges is being a start-up. 

Has your company won any awards or are there any other achievements you'd like to share?

April will be our first year in operation and during our first six months we filed three patents and have built two prototypes.  Valkim has also had opportunities to publish and present.

Look into the future. What developments do you see happening in your company?

The vision is to be an innovation development organization and will have solutions commercially deployed within the second year of operation.
